WELCOME TO THE SOUTHWELL WI
Southwell WI
The WI came to the UK from Canada in 1915. Southwell WI formed in 1917 and was the first WI formed in Nottinghamshire. Things have moved on quite a bit since then. There are now well over 100 WIs in Nottinghamshire and over 212,000 WI members around the country. As well as the events we organise and enjoy with our own WI members there are other events run at different levels of the organisation.
The Southwell GroupEach WI in Nottinghamshire can be a member of a Group. This group will consist of several local WIs who can pool their efforts a couple of times each year to stage more adventurous activities. Southwell WI is part of the Southwell Group:-
